There was a cat
He had quite an extravagant hat
It was black, matte
In the corner he sat
Did not lend an eye to the scurrying rat
There was nothing to do, so he was fat

One day he saw a gnat
Up on the-
Oh dear there was nothing he could say
That would rhyme
He was supposed to be a perfect cat.
But that was all ruined
He was supposed to sit in the corner and chat.
His rhymes he was supposed have spat

But never mind that, everything was out of whack.
If he was no longer a perfect cat, what was he?
He looked out the window sill
Humans and cats alike roamed the streets

What was he doing cooped up
When there was world out there to discover
He pushed open the window
And set off on a journey
